Malfunction Analysis of Electric Hoist

Case 1.
I start the electric hoist as usual, but the motor fail to operate and the hoist can not to elevate anything.
Possible reasons:
1.Maybe the hoist is overloaded. And the machine is forbidden to use under any overload conditions.
2.Check out the voltage, because the hoist can not work when the voltage lower 10% of the nominal voltage.
3.Examine the appliance and circuits to find out whether the guide line or the devices works well or not.
4.If the headblock and rear end cover rust, the hoist would get stuck. You should disassemble the headblock and derust the rusty surface.
5.Change the guide line if the line is too thin to operate.
 

Case 2.
The brake system breaks down, and the gliding distance is out of limit.
1.If the stop ring wears off badly, it will influence the performance of the spring.
2.If there is out-of-contact phenomenon between the stop ring and conical surface of the rear end cover, you should disassemble the electric hoist then fix it.
3.Clean the greasy dirt of the braking surface.
4.Change a new stop ring if it become loose.
5.Replace the spring device if it turn out to be metal fatigue.
6.Inspect the joint part if the coupler get dumb or stuck.
7.Regulate the subulate rotor to make sure it is in a good condition.
 

Case 3. The electric motor become overheated.
1.Reduce the weight of the load.
2.Decrease operating times.
3.The brake clearance is too narrow which lead the stop ring has no enough operating room. It’s equivalent to an additional load to the hoist, so you should adjust it.

Case 4. The retarder is too noisy.
Disassemble the machine to check out the lubrication of the hoist.
 

Case 5. There is an irritating buzz when I start the motor.
It always connects with the contactor, you’d better check it.
 

Case 6. I stop it for a while When I elevating the load in the air, then the machine can’t restart.
1.Restart the hoist after the voltage resumes.
2.Reduce the weight of the load.
 

Case 7. I can’t stop the hoist when it comes to the limiting position.
1.Cut off the power immediately and examine the fusion welding of the alternating current contactor.
2.The limiting stopper is out of work. We should inspect the circuit inside of the stopper.

Case 8. Oil leak of the retarder.
1. Check out the seal ring of the oil tank, replace it when necessary.
2. Be assure the coupling screw is fastened.
3. Don’t add too much oil, and refuel the machine according to the instruction.
 

Case 9. There are frictions between the subulate rotor and stator.
The frictions often caused by supporting rings wears off, or displacement of iron core of the rotor or the stator. We can fix it by replacing the supporting rings to guarantee the clearance of 0.35~0.55mm, or you can send it back to the factory for professional help.
